ERPNext Lead Document Field Descriptions

This document explains the purpose of each field present in the Lead module interface of ERPNext:

1. Assigned To

Purpose: Indicates the user or team responsible for following up on the lead.

Details: The assigned person will receive reminders and notifications for lead updates.

2. Attachments

Purpose: Allows you to upload supporting files related to the lead, such as quotations, brochures, or communications.

Details: Click the "+ Attachments" button to upload files.

3. Tags

Purpose: Helps categorize or group leads based on tags for better organization.

Details: Examples: "Power Loom," "Priority Lead," "Indiamart."

4. Share

Purpose: Lets users share the lead document via email or links with stakeholders or team members.

Details: Click on "Share" to generate a shareable link.

5. First Name, Middle Name, Last Name

Purpose: Captures the lead's full name.

Details:

  • First Name: The lead’s given name (e.g., "Yasar").
  • Middle Name: Optional, if applicable.
  • Last Name: The lead’s family name (e.g., "Yamin").

6. Job Title

Purpose: Indicates the lead's role or designation in their company or organization.

Example: "Requirement for Power Loom Machine."

7. Status

Purpose: Tracks the current progress of the lead.

Options:

  • Lead: Initial stage of the prospect.
  • Opportunity: Progressed to an opportunity for business.

8. Source

Purpose: Tracks how the lead found your business.

Example: Indiamart (in this case).

9. Lead Type

Purpose: Identifies whether the lead is an individual or a business.

Options:

  • Individual: A person seeking services.
  • Business: A corporate or business client.

10. Request Type

Purpose: Describes the nature of the inquiry or request.

Example: Product inquiry, quotation request, etc.

11. Lead Date

Purpose: Logs the exact date and time when the lead was created.

Details: Example: "01-04-2024 23:41:18."

12. Indiamart Details

Purpose: Captures specific information when leads are sourced from Indiamart.

Fields:

  • Indiamart Lead Type: Defines the inquiry type (e.g., "Direct & ASTBUY Enquiries").
  • Lead Message: Displays the lead’s specific inquiry (e.g., "My Requirement is for Power Loom Machine. Kindly send me price and other details.").

13. Contact Info

Purpose: Stores the lead’s contact information.

Fields:

  • Email: Lead's email address (e.g., "yasaramin313@gmail.com").
  • Mobile No: The primary mobile number (e.g., "+91-9272990622").
  • Phone: An additional phone number (if available).
  • WhatsApp: Indicates if WhatsApp is used for communication (if supported).
  • Phone Ext.: Extension number for landline communication (if applicable).

14. Administrator Comments

Purpose: Logs notes or updates added by the administrator, indicating any follow-ups or edits made to the lead.

Details: In this case, it states "Last edited 5 months ago."
